We'd told you how Salman Khan's 'Dabangg' shoot was moved to the UAE from Switzerland because of the volcanic eruptions that disrupted air travel. And Salman was in the UAE a few days ago, shooting for the movie, accompanied by brother Arbaaz, his wife Malaika and leading lady Sonakshi Sinha.
And Salman's movie is apparently the first to be shot on the Dubai Metro. Guess where else they shot? At the Palace Suite of Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, and also locations in the desert.
It was quite a fun shoot we think. Arbaaz tweeted about it, "We shot inside the Dubai Metro. First time ever a film shoot allowed here. We got blanket permission to shoot anywhere. Quite a novelty :)"
But it was also a hectic time for Salman because he actually flew back to Mumbai from Dubai for just a few hours for the Miss India contest. He posted on his Twitter account on Friday (April 30) "Shooting at metro station thn going to mumbai fr 4 hrs n bak to dubai to shoot at 7 am."
The 'Dabangg' team all returned to Mumbai on Saturday (May 1).
Well, we'll be watching out for places familiar to us when the movie comes out. Wonder which train Salman rode!
